The latch requirement changed several times for this line of optical storage cases. My original design had the requested friction latch, but later as they reviewed the concepts with retailers, they decided a more tactile spring latch with a push button would be best. We used the client’s trademark red for the entire latch to emphasize this feature at the point of sale. The case could display at retail either horizontally or vertically.
