This project was for a pistol manufacturer that needed a primary carrying case to accompany the purchase of a firearm. The case would hold the pistol, added magazines, a lock, and the user manual. At the time, they used a generic carrying case to meet this need. For the custom case, they wanted to make improvements. Some of those were to make the case lightweight and reduce the amount of unused internal space. The client wanted the new case design to accommodate a padlock and be able to stack for shipping.
Since this was for a pistol manufacturer, I adapted design details from that product line. I integrated those elements in the final case to unify the consumer experience and create added value when compared to the generic cases.
